In 2023, we had so many amazing entries, but only the best of the best took the title of Gold Winner.

Among the incredible brands whose products won Gold, were Altham’s Fine Foods’ “Supper Club” who took home not one, not two, but SIX Gold Award winning products!

Sales Manager Erin Dust said, “As Supper Club is only a year old, we are a relatively unknown brand and felt that as well as exhibiting at the show, the awards would be a great way to maximise the opportunity of getting our brand and products seen by as many people as possible at the event itself but also giving us something that we could take away and shout about afterwards.”

Altham’s Fine Foods’ Gold Award products were Supper Club Chicken Tikka Masala, Supper Club Cottage Pie, Supper Club Lamb Hot Pot, Supper Club Lasagne Al Forno, Supper Club Macaroni Cheese with Pancetta and Supper Club Three Bean Chilli – All of which were judged live at the Farm Shop & Deli Show 2023 and were loved by our panel of expert judges.

We asked Erin how it felt that six of their entries won a Gold Award. “We were ecstatic watching the announcements come through. We were hopeful that one or two would get a Gold Award but to get all six was phenomenal!”

Another brand who wowed the judges with their product, was Taking the Pea Ltd. Their Gold winning product was their Wacky Wasabi Crunchy Coated Pea Snack and judges loved the moreish taste.

Following their success in the Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards, Taking the Pea have been able to highlight their awards in their marketing and promotional work and flag the success of their award-winning products.

Holly Durrant, speaking on behalf of Taking the Pea Ltd, said “the process for entering seemed very straightforward, so it was a logical step to enter. We did so, hoping that it would help enhance our show experience if we were successful. We had visitors who came to see us at our stand at the Farm Shop & Deli Show after having seen our products in the awards display area.”

Exhibiting at the Farm Shop & Deli Show and entering the Product Awards goes hand in hand. Exhibitors are entitled to an exclusive discount which gives them 50% off the price of their product entries and, this year, select Gold Winners will have the opportunity to further showcase their winning entries at “Meet the Gold Winners”, held at the Farm Shop & Deli Stage.

Family owned business Fieldfare, also succeeded in earning multiple Gold awards in 2023. Their Chocolate Fondant, Creamy Chicken White Wine and Asparagus Puff Pastry Pie, Plain Chocolate Chip Cookie, Maple Pecan Danish and Sweet Waffles all won Gold in the 2023 awards. Fieldfare also won Silver for their Asparagus & Gruyere Crown and Sicilian Lemon Tart which brought their total number of award winning products to seven!

Fieldfare took full advantage of the ability to enter more than one product in the awards. Our Judges loved seeing the varied products that Fieldfare have to offer and enabled them to see the consistency of the brand.
